The team leader is Professor Wu Chundu, and there are currently 25 full-time teaching and research personnel, including 10 professors, 8 associate professors, and 7 lecturers; There are 6 doctoral supervisors and 17 master's supervisors. All have a doctoral degree.
The team is supported by advanced theories and technologies from disciplines such as environmental science and engineering, fluid machinery and engineering, chemical engineering and processes, and materials science and engineering. Guided by environmental pollution issues in socio-economic development, the team adheres to the scientific methods of combining basic research with engineering applications, technology development with equipment integration, and pollution control with resource utilization. The team conducts basic research on pollution control and resource utilization theories and methods, and has achieved rich research results in technology research and equipment development in agricultural/rural pollution prevention and control, industrial pollution full process green governance, sponge city construction and water environment ecological restoration, hydroxyl radical based green oxidation, soil pollution control, and other areas.
In the past five years, we have undertaken more than 60 scientific research projects, including nearly 10 national/provincial level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the Provincial Key R&D Program. We have also commissioned more than 50 projects from enterprises and local governments, with a total research funding of nearly 16 million yuan, providing strong technical support for ecological environment pollution control and restoration, decision-making by local government functional departments, and enterprise transformation and upgrading.
