Training objectives: This major aims to cultivate well-rounded development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills, practicing socialist core values, possessing good moral cultivation, social responsibility, patriotism, innovative spirit, entrepreneurial awareness, and international vision, possessing basic theories, knowledge, and skills in environmental engineering, strong practical ability in environmental engineering, and the ability to solve complex environmental engineering problems. Senior engineering and technical talents who can engage in the design, construction, management, environmental quality monitoring, and environmental impact assessment of water pollution, air pollution, and solid waste pollution control facilities in the fields of environmental protection, municipal engineering, chemical engineering, materials, metallurgy, machinery, energy, etc., and meet the needs of national social and economic development.
Cultivation Characteristics: Through learning, students will acquire solid theoretical knowledge in mathematics, mechanics, chemistry, computer science, as well as professional basic knowledge in environmental engineering principles, environmental microbiology, etc. They will have the ability to engage in pollution prevention and control, environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment and planning, and environmental management work. Our major is based in Jiangsu and oriented towards the Yangtze River Delta region, cultivating applied senior engineering and technical talents who can adapt to the development needs of the environmental protection industry.
