Wang Qianqian, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor,Ph.D Supervisor (Oversea student)
Wang Qianqian holds a Ph.D. degree and is currently an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor. In 2015, he was selected as the Young Academic Leader in the Youth Backbone Teacher Training Program at Jiangsu University. He pursued his doctoral studies through a joint program between South China University of Technology and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, sponsored by the Chinese government. His doctoral dissertation received the "Silver Medal Award for the Second Best PhD Thesis" from the International Academy of Wood Science and was recognized as an outstanding doctoral thesis at South China University of Technology.
Dr. Wang has extensive international research experience, having worked as a visiting scholar at AkzoNobel Eka Chemicals in Sweden in 2008 and at the USDA Forest Products Laboratory in the United States from 2010 to 2012. In 2016, he was honored with the Best Paper Award from the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) in the United States.
His recent research focuses on environmental-friendly new materials, solid waste treatment, and bio-based materials. He has published over 50 research papers in renowned journals such as ACS Nano, ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Carbohydrate Polymers, Cellulose, Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Research. Dr. Wang holds multiple patents.
